More than Meets the eye....

Do you believe on what Jesus said over and over again, “Blessed are those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.” (Luke 21:25-27)

Why do some people see, hear or sense the presence of departed loved ones, angels or spirit guides while others do not? Possibly some people are more psychic than others because they have been equipped or gifted with these tools in order to fulfill their life’s mission.

Even at a very young age, I experience seeing through the veil that separates the world of physical and non-physical. Some say, to see is to believe, but I think that one must believe before they can see. Everything that we call “reality” exists because we believed, at some point that it could be. I for one didn’t believed in ghosts and wandering souls until I saw some. It was just too freaky the first time it occurred but eventually, I get used to perceive supernatural phenomenon.

It has been three years since my sister died. Never did I saw her in the flesh aside from my dreams. I usually encounter butterflies whenever there are noteworthy dates. As I remember, before she expires, my sis uttered that I must always think of her if I saw a butterfly. Since then, every time a member of my family celebrates natal day, a moth appears if not, it approaches and encircles us wherever we go.

Today, I was pleased to say that Toni visited me during duty, after I ate lunch, I was alone inside the dental department the nurse left and went straight to the bathroom while I was brushing at the lavatory, I felt a fast paced fondle around my back and saw a silhouette went across the side of the dental chair. As if she thanked me for posting a message for her on my wall. She wasn’t the extrovert type, unlike me, I always express whatever I feel and what I want to divulge. But, this time, I know, she was the one who tapped me on my rear part. I wanted to talk to her but still haven’t got the chance to chew the fat even in dreams. Usually, she utters names, which I will not mention, but I guess even at the other side of the fence, the grudge you’ll carry will remain markable though she has to just let go of it.

Everyday I include her in my prayers. I really miss my sissy, wish she can talk to me again in dreams better, an apparition will do…. Before I hate havin’ a so-called sixth sense, now I am embracing the gift I have and still nourishing what I can do about it….
Even so, I agree on the saying; “Everything has a purpose”… and thank God I have it.

Since blogging is a way of sharing one's thoughts, experiences and life's journey, i would like to share some of my Profession's techniques i have in mind....

First of which, is to share how a Topical Fluoride is applied....

For most of the cases i encountered, children are the most common patients receiving this procedure, little do people know why Fluoride is good for the teeth...

TFA PROCEDURES:

Determine the size of the tray.

Prepare the fluoride tray.

Dispense on the tray the 1.23% acidulated phosphate fluoride, it is about 1/3 of the height of the tray.

Dont use metal instrument for it will react in the fluoride, use only plastic instrument.

Isolate tooth surfaces using cotton rolls (placement: upper- buccal & labial surfaces. lower-buccal, labial & lingual surfaces)

Dry tooth surfaces with compressed air.

Let the patient sit in an upright manner.

Removed the cotton rolls.

Make sure the surfaces are dry with compressed air.

Instruct the patient to breed into his nose going out to his mouth.

Fold the tray and place it inside the patient's mouth for about 4 minutes.

Instruct the patient not to swallow the flouride solution.

After 4 minutes remove the tray.

Instruct the patient to spit the excess flouride on a plastic container.

Tell the patient not the eat,drink or rinse for 30 minutes.



To start with, let me define what Fluoride means?.....Functionally, it helps prevent tooth decay by making the tooth more resistant to acid attacks from plaque bacteria and sugars in the mouth. It also reverses early decay. In children under six years of age, fluoride becomes incorporated into the development of permanent teeth, making it difficult for acids to demineralize the teeth. Fluoride also helps speed remineralization as well as disrupts acid production in already erupted teeth of both children and adults.

Fluoride therapy is the delivery of fluoride to the teeth topically or systemically in order to prevent tooth decay (dental caries) which results in cavities. Most commonly, fluoride is applied topically to the teeth using gels, varnishes, toothpaste/dentifrices or mouth rinse. Systemic delivery involves fluoride supplementation using water, salt, tablets or drops which are swallowed. Tablets or drops are rarely used where public water supplies are fluoridated.

When Is Fluoride Intake Most Critical? (via webmd.com)

It is certainly important for infants and children between the ages of 6 months and 16 years to be exposed to fluoride. This is the timeframe during which the primary and permanent teeth come in. However, adults benefit from fluoride too. New research indicates that topical fluoride -- from toothpastes, mouth rinses, and fluoride treatments -- are as important in fighting tooth decay as in strengthening developing teeth.

In addition, people with certain conditions may be at increased risk of tooth decay and would therefore benefit from additional fluoride treatment. They include people with:

• Dry mouth conditions : Dry mouth caused by diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome, certain medications (such as allergy medications, antihistamines, anti- anxiety drugs, and high blood pressure drugs), and head and neck radiation treatment makes an individual more prone to tooth decay. The lack of saliva makes it harder for food particles to be washed away and acids to be neutralized.
• Gum disease : Also called gingivitis, gum disease can expose more of your tooth and tooth roots to bacteria increasing the chance of tooth decay.
• History of frequent cavities : If you have one cavity every year or every other year, you might benefit from additional fluoride.
• Presence of crowns and/or bridges or braces : These treatments can put teeth at risk for decay at the point where the crown meets the underlying tooth structure or around the brackets of orthodontic appliances.

Just my Opinion

I watched "No Other Woman" last night..... well, the movie was almost perfect but, i think, failed to make an impact with its clichéd and botched ending (Ram should have fixed his relationship with his father and get advice rather than get into an automobile accident to settle his issues with Sharmaine and Cara)....The flick should have been better if it decided to be more daring with its plot......but, to top it all, Anne Curtis was incomparable for her role as Cara ....she really nailed it! i like the Charmaine Escaler confrontation to Cara Zalderiaga saying: "Marriage is like an executive village, kailangan mong bantayan para hindi makapasok ang squatter"..... the series of face off had intense arguments that can leave the weak of heart limp...

I think the storyline of the movie has been seen in silver screen's 2007 A Love Story (Aga Muhlach, Maricel Soriano & Angelica Panganiban)& 1982's RELASYON (Vilma Santos and Christopher De leon)...

The main point here is, they showed how a man can be frail to temptations and how yielding to it can take away everything he has reckoned important in his life... the motion picture allow us to embrace when an imperfect relationship proliferate, we're reminded that every willful act has its consequences...

But, two men changed that meaning, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak effectively created Apple Computer on April 1, 1976....i wonder why they chose a fruit to be an emblem?..... thus, i thought it's from the bible - when Adam bit that apple he became "like a god" - or he became conscious - knowing good and evil. So that becomes the logo of Macintosh - to wake up - to become more conscious.

Jobs then co-founded the visual effects house, Pixar.... Nothing's impossible for Steve..The world indeed, lost a great mind! For me, You are the Father of Innovation! Thank you for sharing your genius mind to mankind or else we still be typing our thoughts to a mere typewriter if not for your works and will still be listening music to a walkman....

Stories to Tell

We have our own stories to tell, but as i mature, I've listen to different kinds of chronicles people underwent through time.... I've been a friend, a listener, a speaker and even a foe sometimes.

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back....

Whenever life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile. Besides, in the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away...
